![]() ![]() ![]() #4), that means your controller is in bad shape. The reason - if you need ClearView calibration (see In case of #5, you must do ClearView calibration every time you start ClearView. If after calibration you can not get 100% bar movement when you move the sticks, then and only then you will need to calibrate in ClearView.Ħ. If that is not the case, calibrate again and see if any improvement.ĥ. After the calibration, check the controls again and see if you get the bars move 100% when you move the sticks all the way. During the calibration, when asked to press a button on the controller, press space bar on the keyboard instead.Ĥ. If calibrating controller with dual rates, have the rates on High.ģ. During the calibration, have all trims centered.Ģ. You need to calibrate in Windows Game Controllers.ġ. Have to say I know less about computers than I do about helicopters, so something that might be obvious to someone computer savvy, would be a blank wall to me.Īny help you can give is much appreciated In your first post, you gave suggested settings for pitch curves, so I would like to start from these and see where I go, but the basic problem is how I change the parameters. Went into advanced setting menu on Clearview screen, and all I could see was a long list of parameters, most of which I could not understand, and no indication as to how I actually change any of them. Looks like, first of all, I have to get into the parameter menu to try to tone down the responses. Managed to keep it airborne just long enough to check the controls seem to be moving in the right direction, but also noticed a violent tail twitch. Set up the controls in Clearview, and gave it a try.įull throttle seems to come in with a bang at about 3/4 throttle, and the model is either too high to see it, or thumping into the ground. Process involves moving a stick, then pressing any button.įirst problem, my transmitter does not have any buttons, ho hum. Went to control panel, and tried to calibrate. Reset my transmitter to factory default (no mixes), and aeroplane model. Hope you don't mind, I might be bugging you a while longer. Sounds like you are a bit of an expert on these. Hope this helps.the biggest thing is use an airplane model for the sim.NO MIXING or curves.all is done within the program. (this is set up where 1.0 = 10 degree pitch, -1.0 = -10 degrees).Įxample for throttle, to get your V-curve for idle up.it would be something like this It is designed for +10 to -10 degrees in a 5 point setting. The params are complicated but here is a quick lowdown of the pitch curve settings. Start Clearview and set up the controller properly. Before you calibrate, put your dual rates on high.that way you get full travel and can use your dual rate switches on the transmitter.Ĥ. Clearview uses the data from the windows control panel. Once you set up your radio to airplane model.no mixes, ect ect.make sure you go to the Windows control panel and calibrate the controller. All the neccessary adjments are made within the Clearview params (params.txt)ģ. I have a very soft power train, 5s on a 1700Kv motor, so can I adjust the sim to mimic this, or do I have to keep modifying curves till the flight characteristics match?ĭO NOT Use your radio to set pitch and throttle curvesġ. Those same settings in the sim, as soon as I hit ID1, the sim model climbs skywards, and the pitch control has very little effect. ![]() That coupled with ordinary pitch curves gives a nice positive lift off, and enough pitch sensitivity to make it interesting. I use a flat 80% throttle on the model in ID1. Seemed to help a little, but still not there. I have set aside a memory on my transmitter solely for sim usage, so I adjusted that to match the curves in my real model. The 500 at default is far more sensitive and powerful than mine, and I need to tone it down. I am using the Trex500 as my pattern, but I need to get the sim flying as close as possible to the real thing, and there I have run into a roadblock. In order to save me many rebuilds, I have purchased and installed Clearview. Gotten pretty good at hovering, but want to move into circuits, and maybe a little mild aerobatics. ![]() I am new to simulators, and I need a little advice. ![]()
